Winter Sports World – Australia’s first Snow Resort
Let it snow in Penrith! Australia’s first indoor snow resort, Winter Sports World is coming to Western Sydney!
The NSW Government has approved the $400 million dollar project to be built at Tench Av in Jamisontown, set to open in 2025.
Winter Sports world aka The ‘giant esky’
Winter Sports World which has already been dubbed “The Giant Esky” will use REAL SNOW, and will include a 300 metre advanced open run for experienced skiers and snowboarding.
There will also a competition venue for events with hopes the resort will attract elite snow athletes and serve as a training venue for Winter Olympics sports.
There will be something for the whole family including a dedicated Winter Wonderland snow play area and an ice and rock climbing facade .

And if you always wanted to stay at a ski resort and experience waking up to views of the snow, well this is your chance! the park’s “unique alpine exterior” will feature “ice shard details” to give the look of a blizzard, mountains and melting ice.
The resort will also include a 170-room hotel with cafes, restaurants, conference and function rooms.
When does work begin?
Designing and engineering work is set to begin in the first half of this year prior to the first stage of construction which will involve excavation to prepare for the large scale infrastructure needed for snow making and mechanical plant rooms.
