Looking for parks in Western Sydney? Then you should definitely check out Jim Anderson Park! Some would say it’s now fit for royalty following a major transformation, which turned this dingy old playspace into a brand new castle-themed playground for the community to enjoy.

Located on Brookfield Avenue, Werrington Downs, Jim Anderson park is a new playspace that promises to spark young imaginations with hours of fun and adventure for kids of all ages. With its castle-themed play structures kids will be climbing castle walls, navigating maze pathways or swinging high into the sky.

This fully fenced playspace features a slides a range of climbing equipment, a bridge and turrets, a maze with interactive play panels, balance trail and a swing set including a basket swing.

Shaded picnic tables and there is also bench seating throughout the park, new pathways and landscaping were also included in the upgrade to create a more welcoming place for families and children. Unfortunately this park has no toilets.

The park’s existing basketball court is scheduled to be upgraded later this year. The project is a part of Penrith Council’s commitment to upgrade 40 playspaces between 2019-2024, to ensure they are modern, inclusive and safe for residents, families and visitors.
