Discover the largest collection of fire-fighting vehicles, equipment, memorabilia such as uniforms and more. Learn about Australia’s fire services and celebrate the heroic history of firefighters and fire services across the nation. The Museum of Fire is a not-for-profit, registered charity and the official heritage partner of Fire and Rescue New South Wales (FRNSW)
Preserving Australia’s fire Heritage
The museum is run by volunteers and is dedicated to promoting the importance of fire safety and preserving the rich history of firefighting and fire services in Australia. IT was opened to the public on 16 November 1986, and continues to run a number of exhibitions and programs focused on fire safety education and history.
Fun for the Whole Family
The museum regularly hosts fire engine rides, for just $3.50 each. The museum aspires to be a place for learning for all families. The kids will love the Junior firefighter zone – a dedicated area for children to explore firefighting through interactive play including fire safety activities, puzzles, books, and toys. While our heritage vehicles are not permitted to be climbed on or touched, this safe children’s area has interactive fire engines to climb in and enjoy.

There is free parking on site from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, located on the right of the driveway behind the toilet block.
