If you are in the Penrith area or surroundings in Western Sydney, this is the place to go for some delicious Italian food. The atmosphere is so cozy, the ambience is welcoming and rich, their staff were so friendly and helpful. You will be welcomed into this place and greeted like you are part of the family.
You must always book in advance for this restaurant as it’s very popular, luckily the staff ensured we were very well looked after. MENU
This menu is to die for! Gellafrenda hits all the right notes for a delicious Italian feast. Their pastas are so fresh and rich in flavour, the pizzas are light and delectable, fresh salads, amazing everything! You will want to order everything. They offer numerous Halal options, as well as vegetarian and gluten free. They offer a delicious range of plates to share, their pecorino and mozzarella arancini’s are probably the best one’s we’ve ever tried, and don’t forget about their signature crispy fried lasagne bites! The rocket, pear, balsamic and parmesan salad is a lovely addition to refreshen your taste palate. If I were to mention every dish we liked, you may as well just read directly from the menu.
This Italian restaurant will make you want to come back every week to try every single dish! Or maybe just have the same one over and over again? We tried the rigatoni pasta with the addition of prawns. In hindsight, the sauce is so rich it would have sufficed on its own. The pasta tastes so fresh and perfectly cooked, as Italians would say “al dente”. Additionally, we highly recommend getting a pizza to share with everybody, they have lots of varieties and it is all very fresh and tasty.
In addition, they offer some authentic Italian desserts plus some contemporary mixing. You must try their tiramisu, or their biscoff tiramisu if you are not into coffee. Don’t worry, the Biscoff will overpower any hint of coffee! Their pistachio cannoli will definitely flip your socks off! We truly hope we have influenced you into booking your next night out at this fantastic restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
