Based on the beloved 1984 children’s book written by award-winning author Margaret Wild and illustrated by Jane Tanner, There’s a Sea in My Bedroom captures the magic of a child’s fantasy world.

This immersive and theatrical performance, adapted and directed by Tim McGarry, weaves together captivating storytelling with an original score from Australian composer Paul Stanhope, performed live by an Australian Chamber Orchestra string quintet. This enchanting production, perfect for young audiences, will bring moments of magic and laughter for the whole family.

Duration: 40 mins (28 min performance plus a post-show ‘meet the musicians’ session)
Age Recommendation: 2 – 8 years
Pre & Post Show: Children can enjoy free creative play activities, while parents enjoy the magnificent harbour views from our foyer spaces.
Ticket prices: $39 for children and adults (babes-in-arms free of charge on a parent’s lap)
