Duke’s Oval – Emu Plains

A local favourite, Dukes Oval in Emu Plains is perfect for families who enjoy walking and riding paths, playgrounds and wide-open spaces.

Easily seen from the Great Western Highway, Dukes Oval stands out for its huge cricket field bordered by a white picket fence. When cricket matches aren’t being played on the field, all ages can enjoy this vast space, with the oval providing loads of space for your little ones to roam free.

The area features a fantastic walking and riding path that loops around the oval. While the path at the forefront of the park showcases spectacular sweeping views of the cricket pitch, the more secluded paths invite you to walk over footbridges where you can peer into the creek bed.

From a hammock swing to large spider web, rickety bridges to the big-dip slide, Dukes Oval playground is ideal for children aged 5-12 – though younger children could also enjoy the area with parental supervision, too.

The playground is fitted out with some basic sensory equipment such as talking horns, and has space within the enclosure for families to picnic while they watch their kids play.

There are multiple undercover picnic tables and BBQs available which are perfectly positioned between open spaces for running around, and the playground itself. Discover endless family fun at Dukes Oval, where wide-open spaces, walking paths, playgrounds, and bike trails come together to for the ultimate outdoor experience.
