Shopping with kids can often feel like a juggling act, balancing between browsing through stores and managing their nagging. It’s not an enjoyable experience for either kids or parents. That’s why WSM has found some of the best playgrounds in Western Sydney, all of which are conveniently located in shopping centres so you can shop and do what you need to and the kids… well, they will be kids.
Ed square shopping centre playground
This gum tree themed inclusive play area encourages positive psychology and play. With two dedicated spaces for kids of all ages – the junior space for 0-4 years with a crawl tube, vertical forest and activity wall plus an inclusive kaleidoscope cubby. Older children (3-7 years) will love the hanging pods, which hang up to 3.8-metres off the ground for endless climbing fun and have an attached slide. There is also a mini trampoline, rock climbing wall and two additional slides in the area to keep everyone entertained

lidcombe shopping centre – tada cafe
This indoor play area allows kids to play and learn, interact and explore on their own. The centre includes a dress up room which features a variety of costumes to play with, a large size ball pit with a gaming screen. There is also activity rooms with a mock-up grocery store, kitchen, tea party, lego and more.

Chou Chou Bebe is an intergalactic-themed indoor playground with trampolines, slides, ball pits, games and rides all within a family-friendly environment. The kids will run wild on the trampolines, race down the slides and spend hours climbing through the indoor playground.

FASHION SPREE – LIVERPOOL
Located at the entrance of Fashion Spree in Liverpool, this playground is a major attraction for kids of all ages. They can explore a winding stepped tower, cross an exciting aerial net bridge, and enjoy an awesome tube slide. The main towers also feature various activities on their lower levels, ensuring kids are happy while you have a day of shopping.

Chouchou Bebe is all about fun for everyone! Dodgem cars for little ones, ball pits, party room, jumping castle and so much more! Decked out with space-themed decor that will kick start your child’s imagination, the open space is well-lit and designed to keep your child safe. Mums and dads can kick back with a delicious café meal and coffee at the Chouchoubebe café, where you will find the most appetising meals you’ve ever had in a kids’ play area food court!

Stockland Merrylands all-inclusive children’s playground has been built in collaboration with Variety – the Children’s Charity, the playground’s innovative design allows children of all abilities to play together, including those with physical disabilities, vision, hearing and mobility impairments, or spectrum disorders such as autism. Features include s a wide directional pathway through the space for easy access, imaginative, sensory and accessible play options for all children, a wide slide for easy access and fencing around the playspace to ensure the safety.

This open air play area offers plenty of space for the kids to run about, explore, discover and play with friends! Suitable for children with disability and special needs – the all-inclusive play area features a slide, unique in-built trampolines and sensory instruments for children to enjoy. Restaurants and cafe are surrounding the cafe so it’s a great spot to enjoy a cuppa and watch the kids play.
