FREE Water Parks in Western Sydney

Summer’s here, so round up because we have put together a list of FREE, fun and secure water parks in Western Sydney! You can take everybody for fun during these hot months!

1. Blacktown Showground (Francis Park)
Free water parks Western Sydney

Water Play is available during Summer, Autumn and Spring. It includes a sheltered area with varying sized water troughs, a hand wheel water pump, a concrete water maze and spurts and sprays coming from all over – just perfect for the kids (and adults) on a warm, sunny day.

2. nurragingy reserve- doonside

This fun water park features a number of fountains, hoses and waterfalls to help you cool off while having fun in the Parklands. There is also a huge playground alongside the water play area with sandstone, jarrah logs, river stones, recycled timber sleepers, and shipping ropes.

3. Livvi’s place – eLARA
Perfect for all ages

So it’s rare to find a Western Sydney Mum who hasn’t heard of Livvi’s place (and for good reason). Spanning over 7,400 metres, Livvi’s place has so much for the kids to do. It features a large-scale flying fox, carousel, slides, swings, in-ground trampolines, water play and even a half-court for the older kiddos!

4. ollie Webb Reserve – PARRAMATTA

This playground really does boast the best of everything. Parramatta City’s first playground that features fun slides, tunnels, swings and water play, accessible to all ages and abilities! Additional access to picnic areas, drinking fountains, accessible toilets and changing rooms. The water area even has a sail shade!

Western Sydney Water Parks

Visit one of the largest outdoor water play areas where kids can splash around in safe conditions making for hours of fun. The park features grass fields that are perfect for ball games, frisbee, or simply lazing around with friends and family. Blaxland Riverside Park combines adventure, natural beauty, family-friendly amenities, an exciting playground and serene nature. It’s the perfect place for a fun family day out! However, shading is limited so be sure to bring sun protection; suncream, hats and sunglasses as the park does get hot in sun.

6. inclusive: deerbush park – Fairfield
Enjoy a day out in the outdoors

Deerbush Park is an all-abilities playground where children of all ages and abilities can enjoy playing with inclusive play features, accessibility, interactive elements and sensory experiences. The park features inclusive pathways and ramps that makes it easy for individuals with mobility devices to access, as well as soft fall surfaces, handrails, and ample spacing between play structures.

Children discover the musical play elements and tactile surfaces, and you can’t go past the accessible water play space with 13 unique above ground squirters and numerous ground-level bubblers, providing endless fun for children to splash around.

Deerbush Park offers a range of open green spaces, shaded seating areas, barbecue facilities and picnic shelters, providing families the opportunity to get together and enjoy a day out in the outdoors.

7. Phoenix reserve – erskine park

Keep cool at Phoenix Reserve

This popular reserve features multiple jets and other water play elements designed to cool down hot and bothered little ones. Although, shade structures with seating offer a refuge, please remember to bring sunscreen, hats and bottles of water! Penrith Council has implemented pathways, picnic shelters, new furniture and landscaping to welcome everybody this summer and help keep the cool!

8. werrington lakes reserve waterpark

This spacious and open splash park has beautiful sandstone elements, it is next to a playground and is surrounded by green spaces where you can enjoy a picnic. Pack a ball and make your own fun kicking around with friends.

9. James ruse reserve water park – harris park

City of Parramatta offers this free of charge water park from spring through to autumn. It offers shade to protect from the strong UV rays, barbecue areas, toilets and change facilities. The little ones will find a variety of interactive water features like water jets, fountains, tipping buckets, and sprays.

10. dawson-Damer Park – Oran Park

Visit Macarthur region’s largest water play space this summer. It has a variety of water (and non-water) activities, including water slides, water spinners, a ninja warrior course, swings, trampolines, basketball facilities, picnic areas and much more. Dawson-Damer is an inclusive facility, it offers wet play wheelchairs for hire and adult change facilities.

Please stay safe during these warm months, don’t forget sunscreen, hats and lots of water. But most importantly, don’t forget to have heaps of fun!


The all-abilities Splash Park offers a stunning water wonderland, with a “fun-tastic” variety of water and spray play activities. Make a splash by testing the unique bespoke play tower and the giant group swing, while the whole family will love trying out Australia’s first mega splash 4-dump bucket.

Campbelltown Billabong Parklands is a new outdoor recreational destination in the heart of the Campbelltown City Centre. Featuring pools and interactive water play facilities, landscaped areas, parklands and amenities set on a four hectare site. Splash, swim, play, picnic and explore at Campbelltown Billabong Parklands.

The Gipps Street Recreation Precinct is finally open, offering an amazing new hub for kids, teens, and families to enjoy. We got to visit and it’s everything Western Sydney families have been waiting for! This place is massive!

Discover the magic of play at Livvi’s Place in Jordan Springs, fully fenced playground that’s all about inclusion.
