This brand-new hub is the perfect addition to Western Sydney’s parks and playgrounds. Tree planting and landscaping are underway, with toilet facilities throughout the Precinct making it even more convenient. With everything from sports to play to relaxation, Gipps Street Recreation Precinct is set to become a favorite destination for families across the region.

The works play area

This recreational park features ‘the works’ including a kids’ play area, a youth precinct, sports fields, netball courts, cricket practice facilities, a dog park, outdoor fitness equipment, amenities building with canteen, picnic areas, walking trails, and car parking.

Splashes of Fun: Water Play for Kids at Gipps Street Recreation Precinct

For the little ones, the children’s play spaces are a dream come true, featuring water play and nature play areas. Older kids and teens will love the youth zone, complete with a floodlit skate park, pump track, and multi-sport courts. And don’t miss the outdoor fitness equipment, which is perfect for keeping active while the kids play.

The Youth Zone

The youth precinct also has 245-metre pump track, beginner and intermediate skate bowls built within the skate park. Additionally, for the thrill-seekers, there is equipment area, bike racks and two multi-sport courts for basketball and ball games. Plus, an outdoor table tennis, amenities, public artwork and seating areas.

The Precinct features four full-size rectangular fields and one junior-size field, perfect for soccer, rugby, or any other field sport your kids are into. There are also two full-size cricket/AFL ovals with synthetic wickets, plus two netball courts for all the budding athletes. And for the cricket enthusiasts, the four-lane district-level cricket practice facilities are top-notch.

There are 518 car parking spaces across the precinct including 36 accessible parking spaces. Located on the corner of Gipps Street and the Great Western Highway, Claremont Meadows.
