PARRAMATTA AQUATIC CENTRE

There’s nothing like spending a scorching hot day swimming or lounging by the pool, and the Parramatta Aquatic Centre is the perfect place to let the kids splash out, have fun and cool down.

Officially opening its doors to the public on Monday September 25 2023, this much anticipated exciting new facility offers locals, Western Sydney residents and visitors a cool new spot to beat the heat.

Located in Parramatta CBD, the $88.6 million dollar refurbishment is fitted out with state-of-the-art facilities including a dedicated indoor learn-to-swim pool and water playground, a 10-lane Olympic-sized heated outdoor swimming pool, 8-lane heated indoor recreational pool which is perfect for lap swimming, squads and aqua fitness classes.

Learn to swim classes available all year round

Learn To Swim classes at The PAC are available throughout the year catering for a wide range of different ages and abilities. The majority of classes are held in the Gulyangarri Badu (Children’s Pool), our dedicated Learn To Swim indoor pool, which is heated and is suitable for year-round use.

The centre also features a new fitness and wellness hub with a variety of fitness classes, gym, spa, steam and sauna opened all year round for the local community. There’s also a creche facility for parents.

The Aquatic Centre features a new café serving a delicious range of sandwiches, wraps, coffees and more. Other highlights include the free two hours parking and a Foundation Membership through the City of Parramatta website. This will allow you full access to the pool, gym, pilates classes, spa and sauna, lockers, free parking, and a pair of two-week free passes which you can gift to a friend or family member.

Parramatta locals have been waiting a long six-years for this centre to open after the original swimming centre was demolished in 2017. The centre aims to serve not only as a venue for elite athletes but also as a place for families, seniors, and with a range of facilities and programs catering to the needs and interests of the entire community.

Locals can cool down and enjoy a world class facility in their own background, with the centre now up and running ahead of the summer months. 

Monday to Thursday: 5.30am – 9.00pm
Friday: 5.30am – 8.00pm
Weekend and Public Holidays: 6.00am – 8.00pm
Creche: Monday – Saturday 9am – 12:30pm

*Closed on Christmas Day & Good Friday.
