A new ‘beach’ is coming to Penrith this summer
A beach in Penrith!! Finally!! A new swimming spot that was previously off-limits is set to open in December ensuring Western Sydney gets a new place to cool off this summer.

Western Sydney locals can say goodbye to driving for one hour or more to get to a beach and forget about the parking dramas and the hike of a walk down to the beach! This Penrith beach is set to be a game changer!
an eastern sydney Style ‘Beach’ in penrith
This one kilometre beach, the same size as Bondi is set its rival Eastern Sydney counterparts with the new outdoor swimming space providing a free, safe, and unique water experience for children of all ages and families alike.
As we know, Western Sydney gets hotter in summer, especially during a heat wave, so this is a well welcomed new addition to add to the list of places to swim.
beach facilities & safety
There will be lifeguard services and first aid will be available in the designated patrolled swimming zones. The beach will also be accessible catering to all abilities and will include amenities blocks.
parking & getting there
Penrith Beach is located at Penrith Lakes on Castlereagh Road. There will be parking on site and a dedicated shuttle bus that will ferry locals from the Penrith CBD. Visitors will need to register for the car park to secure a parking spot.
opening hours
The beach will be open in late December and will stay opened until early March 2024, seven days from 7am-7pm. This does not including Christmas., New Years Day and public holidays.
