Penrith Beach Reopening This Weekend

Penrith Beach is returning for another season of fun this Summer! Set to open 7 December with a whole list of new updates and fun activities to enjoy with the kids.

There’s so much more to do at Penrith Beach this summer. Come along to enjoy their action-packed program with a focus on water safety and family-friendly events.

This summer the beach will include a range of events including:

  • water safety, learn to swim and junior lifesavers programs
  • bootcamp with local legend Mark Geyer
  • Wildlife Wednesdays environmental education program run by Sydney Zoo
  • get a team together for their beach volleyball tournament
  • Sandy Sunset cinema
  • free skin cancer check clinic
  • special events for significant dates such as Lunar New Year, Valentines Day and Holi Festival

As we know, Western Sydney gets hotter in summer, especially during a heat wave, so this is a perfect spot to take the family to enjoy a day of cooling off and fun.

There are lifeguard services, and first aid available in the designated patrolled swimming zones. The beach is also accessible, catering to all abilities and includes amenities blocks.

parking & getting there

Penrith Beach is located at Penrith Lakes on Castlereagh Road. There is parking on site and a dedicated shuttle bus that ferries locals from the Penrith CBD. There is no need to book a ticket this season, but parking is limited so make sure you arrive early to grab a spot.

opening hours

The beach will be open 7 December and will stay opened until early 2 February 2025, seven days from 10am-7pm with reduced hours until 27 April 2025. This does not include Christmas., New Years Day and public holidays.
