Darling Harbour is Sydney’s iconic location to ring in 2025.

Start your new year bright with spectacular fireworks at 9pm and midnight.

No special spots or reservations, it’s first-come, first-served. We’ll make sure it’s safe with capacity limits. Once a spot’s full, it’s closed, so come early! No pass outs.

Your visit to Darling Harbour doesn’t have to end at midnight. Make a night of it, and treat the whole family staycation at some of the best hotels in the city, and then wake up to a day out at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo or even a play at the Children’s Playground. Don’t forget to fuel up on delicious food including authentic Asian cuisine at Darling Square, casual alfresco dining in Darling Quarter and yummy Aussie seafood at Cockle Bay.

The event features one of the world’s largest, most technologically advanced displays of fireworks, lighting and projections. Sydney New Year’s Eve plays live to more than 1 million spectators along the Sydney Harbour foreshore, and reaches a global audience of more than 425 million.

For the first time ever, fireworks will dazzle the harbour from both the east and west sides of the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, the glorious Sydney Opera House and rooftops across the Sydney skyline, promising a spectacular midnight display for audiences stretching the foreshore.

Large crowds are expected so it’s best to plan your trip ahead of time and consider all the available travel options. Remember to check vantage point capacity updates before you leave home and while you’re on your way to the event.
