The Parramatta to Sydney Foreshore Link
The 91km path will take cyclists, hikers and walkers through 18 suburbs along the picturesque Sydney Harbour through to Parramatta River – becoming one of the city’s longest transport connections. The completed pathway is expected to be longer than the Bondi to Manly walking track.
A new pathway along Sydney’s Waterfronts
Sydneysiders and tourists will be able to safely walk and ride bikes along Sydney’s iconic foreshore, enjoy the outdoors, showcase local Aboriginal cultures and discover the natural beauty and food scene along the path.
what does the project include?
The proposal includes upgrades to existing sections at locations in Parramatta, Inner West and Canada Bay council areas. The track include a new shared path along the foreshore between Queens Wharf Reserve and the new Alfred Street Bridge, Parramatta, a new shared park through Henry Lawson Park, Abbotsford and an upgrade to widen an existing foreshore shared path at Massey Park Golf Club, Concord.
The state government is currently working with the City of Parramatta, Inner West Council, and City of Canada Bay councils as well as the Greater Sydney Parklands Trust.
